Seder
You are invited to participate in a Seder Service on Thursday, April 1, 6:00 p.m. in the Johnson Street Fellowship Hall. What is a Seder? Seder is the celebration of the Jewish Passover. In our service, we follow as closely as we can the order of the meal as celebrated by Jesus and his disciples the night before Jesus was crucified. Why attend the Seder? By participating in the Seder, we learn more about the customs of Jesus' time and gain a greater appreciation for the context out of which the Lord's Supper was given to us. Reservations: There is no charge for the Seder meal, but seating is limited. You can reserve your place at the table by calling the church office (325/949-3701) or by filling out the form attached to this notice. Dinner: The Seder is only a ceremonial meal. If you would like to stay with us after the Seder and enjoy a Bar-B-Que Dinner, please let us know in your reservation. The dinner is $7.50 per person. |
