Our Purpose
The Johnson Street church is a family. With God as our Father and our Savior Jesus Christ as our brother, we recognize each other as brothers and sisters who share together the blessing of the Holy Spirit. A Johnson Street Family is a place for love and nurture. We embrace as our purpose Jesus' teaching that the most important thing we do is. Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, Our life and work together as a family of God flow from this greatest commandment which we believe addresses all four areas of our spiritual lives.

Our hearts are drawn to relationships. God has told us that we love Him by loving one another. We grow in our personal relationship with God as we draw closer in love to one another. 
Our souls seek to be one with God. We experience his presence with us as we lift up our souls to Him in worship and praise.
With our minds we seek to understand. We learn about God and His will for our lives through the study of His Word and His creation.
With our strength we serve God and His creation. We give our time and energy to benefit the Kingdom of God and those who are in need.
