Thanks for your interest in the Johnson Street church. My wife Pat and I love this church. We met here and married here while I worked as the Youth Minister and the Associate Minister. After several years serving with a church in Tyler, we returned to Johnson Street in 2002. Pat and I have three sons, three daughters-in-law and two special grandsons. We can tell you from our own life experience that this is a church that nurtures and loves. We are excited about the future of Johnson Street. I know there is a place for you here. Hi, I hope you are having a great day. As associate minister my main responsibilities are: financial administrator; oversight, planning, and scheduling our Adult Education and Bible class programs. Our Bible class times are Sunday, 9:45 am and Wednesday, 7 pm. I assist our preaching minister, Tommy King, with worship planning and enjoy the opportunities that I have to lead our congregation in worship to our Lord. I am a licensed counselor and maintain a small client load. My services are open to members and non-members alike (see Counseling Ministry). May God richly bless your day.

Shelly and I have been involved in youth ministry for over 20 years. We have been blessed to serve in ministry here at Johnson Street since 1988. Shelly also teaches English at Central High School and provides a unique ministry and support to her students. Our daughters, Marissa and Kayli have grown up in the youth ministry and are now active participants in our middle school and high school groups. Today's teens and families face tremendous challenges and we are thrilled that the Johnson Street Church is dedicated to helping them meet those challenges. This semester begins Doug's second year. His wife TaLisha, and children, Hayden, Carlie Jo, and Lanie have fit right in at the CCC. Doug graduated from West Texas A&M University, and is pursuing his Master's in Christian Ministry at Abilene Christian University. Linda "Bunny" Parker has served at the CCC since 1986. She is the recipeint of the 2004 Bessie Woodward Award for Women in Campus Ministry. Bunny has 2 wonderful children (Joe & Dusti) and a grandson (Ian) that is precious and very entertaining.
