WorshipDate: March 7, 2010 Occurs: Every Sunday Time: 07:30AM til 10:45AM Location: 2200 Johnson Street , San Angelo Texas (Show me a map) Worship at the Johnson Street Church of Christ includes lots of singing, the weekly celebration of communion (or Eucharist, if you perfer), the public reading of scripture, a sermon that usually isn't too long, and a heavy dose of catching up with other members of God's family. We offer two meeting options on Sunday mornings: 1st service from 8:30 to 9:30 and 2nd service from 10:45-11:45. What to Expect When you arrive for worship, you will be greeted warmly by someone who will give you a copy of Christian Reflections (our bulletin/newsletter). On the back will be an order of events during the service. When you enter the auditorim, or sanctuary, you are welcome to sit anywhere you like. Don't be afraid to ask those old people to scoot down! College students and teenagers often sit toward the front. Don't be suprised if everyone wants to meet you. We love our church and love it when people visit! The singing at JSCC is a cappella, or without instruments. This may be unusual for you. In the heritage of the Churches of Christ we have found that simplicity in worship allows us to focus on God. And when everybody gets to sing we can boast the biggest choir in San Angelo! |
