Counseling Ministry

Our Mission

The mission of the Johnson Street Church of Christ Counseling Ministry is to provide Christian-based counseling to people who are struggling with the effects of living in a sin-darkened world. The ministry was established so that people would have an alternative to secular-based counseling. We offer counseling for individual, adolescent, marriage, family, blended family, and divorce adjustment issues. Our therapists will work with you to assess your problem and develop an appropriate action plan to help resolve that problem. This plan may include ongoing counseling with one of them or it may result in a referral to another provider or organization with expertise in your area of need.

Our services are open to anyone and we ask people to pay an amount that is within their budgetary means. The Counseling Ministry is totally supported by your fees and the general contributions of the Johnson Street church. By asking for fees we seek to make the service available to a larger number of people than would be possible otherwise. We ask people to pay an amount that is sacrificial but not burdensome. We do not want money to become an issue. If you have a health insurance plan, please discuss this option of payment with your therapist.

The information you share with our therapists is confidential. They will not release information to anyone, including a family member, without your written consent. Limits of confidentiality do apply, however. According to Federal Regulations, they are mandated to report information that, in their professional judgement, constitutes the threat of serious harm to self or other, information regarding child or elder abuse or neglect, and any records subpoenaed by a state court of law.

Our counselors are licensed by the State of Texas and exercise the utmost professionalism in their service. If you, or any one you know of, would like to visit with either of these two gentlemen, please contact them directly at the numbers above.

There are other Christian counselors in San Angelo. If you prefer to see one of them, please let us help you find one to suit your needs.
